From Spares Bench to
Engineering Partner.

Origin · 2010

SEW was founded in Coimbatore in 2010 with a narrow brief: engineer the spare parts that keep industrial machines running — properly measured, properly made, properly checked.

The Years Between

Fifteen-plus years followed, across textiles and mills, power, oil and gas, chemical and manufacturing. Every difficult component deepened the same skills — measurement, materials, machining, validation.

Today

Today SEW works as a precision engineering and manufacturing partner: customized components and spares, fixtures, special purpose machines, automation and refurbishment — with engineering data retained for repeat supply.

Function Before Price

We ask what the part does before we ask what it costs. Function, loads, fit and wear decide the engineering approach — not a catalogue page.

Engineered to Your Machine

Nothing here is off-the-shelf by default. Geometry, material and tolerances are engineered to your machine and your application, then manufactured to that data.

A Worn Sample Is Enough

A worn sample is enough to start. We rebuild the design intent as CAD and drawings — then manufacture and inspect against them.

Measured Before It Leaves

A component leaves only after it is measured against its own drawing. The inspection record travels with the part, not behind it.

Downtime Sets the Tempo

Downtime sets the tempo. Rapid response engineering is designed to compress the time between a failed part and its validated replacement.

The Tenth Order Matches the First

The first order is the hard one. CAD, drawings and inspection data stay on file — so the tenth order matches the first, years later.

Sapphire Engineering Works is a workshop name — the kind painted above a gate on Thadagam Road. We are comfortable with that. Since 2010, the reputation has been carried by the parts, not the signage.
