Nine Capabilities.
One Engineering Discipline.

From a single precision component to a complete special purpose machine, every SEW capability runs on the same rhythm: reverse engineer, manufacture, validate, deliver.

Capability 01 · Components

Precision Engineering.

Tolerance-critical components machined to your drawing, to a sample — or to the failed part in your hand.

  • Shafts, gears, flanges and bearing blocks
  • Wheels, bushings and transmission components
  • Customized mechanical components to application
  • Dimensional inspection built into every job

Capability 02 · Supply

Engineering Spares.

Replacement spares that keep machinery running — and customized spares that improve on the original where the application demands more.

  • Replacement spares for industrial machinery
  • Customized spares engineered to the application
  • Experience across textile finishing and heavy machinery
  • Engineering data retained for repeat supply

Capability 03 · Data

Reverse Engineering.

No drawings? The part itself carries its own engineering. We capture it — and turn it into manufacturing-ready data.

  • Dimensional capture from the physical component
  • Design intent and material analysis
  • CAD models and manufacturing drawings created
  • Data becomes a permanent engineering record

Capability 04 · Speed

Rapid Manufacturing.

When a failed part is holding production, one measure matters: the journey from problem to validated replacement. RapidFab is our engineering response, built to compress it.

  • One team from assessment to dispatch
  • Reverse engineering when OEM data doesn't exist
  • Validation before delivery — not after
  • Rapid response engineering, without shortcuts

Capability 05 · Repeatability

Fixtures & Tooling.

Repeatability isn't an operator skill — it's a fixture. We design and build the holding, guiding and checking hardware your production depends on.

01

Understand Process

Your product, your cycle, your constraint — studied before anything is drawn.

02

Engineering & Concept

Concept options and the engineering approach, reviewed with your team.

03

Mechanical Design

Detailed mechanical design, drawings and component specification.

04

Fabrication & Machining

Frames, fixtures and precision parts manufactured to the design.

05

Automation Integration

Sensing, actuation and controls integrated where the process needs them.

06

Testing & Validation

Run, measured and corrected before the machine leaves.

07

Installation / Deployment

Brought into production at your site.

Capability 06 · Machines

Custom Special
Purpose Machines.

"Machines designed around your process — not the other way around."

  • One team from concept to installation
  • Mechanical design, fabrication and machining together
  • Automation integrated where the process needs it
  • Testing and validation before deployment

Scope, acceptance checks and support terms are agreed per project — engineered commitments, not blanket promises.

Sapphire Automation.

The automation practice grows out of our SPM work: the same sense–decide–actuate discipline, applied to the machines and lines you already run.

  • Machine and process automation
  • Material handling automation
  • Semi-automated workstations
  • Custom automation around existing equipment

Every automation project begins with an engineering study of the existing process — improvement is engineered, not assumed.

Capability 08 · Renewal

Refurbishment & Reconditioning.

Not every part needs replacing. Some need to be engineered back into service — assessed first, reconditioned under control, validated before return.

  • Engineering assessment before any work begins
  • Worn elements re-engineered, not just patched
  • Dimensional verification against engineering data
  • Inspection and documentation on return to service

Capability 09 · Proof

Testing & Validation.

Equipment and machinery are proven before they ship — and assessed before they go back into service. Measured, run under load, and documented.

  • Machines, SPMs and assemblies trial-run before dispatch
  • Rotation, alignment, noise, heat and load behaviour observed
  • Dimensional inspection against the engineering drawing
  • Used equipment assessed before, and re-tested after, refurbishment
  • Test and inspection records supplied with the job
Scope 01

Dimensional

Every critical feature measured against the drawing that defined it — and the record travels with the part.

Scope 02

Functional & Run

Assemblies and machines run before dispatch: motion, alignment, temperature rise and behaviour under load.

Scope 03

Equipment Condition

Machinery assessed before refurbishment is quoted, then re-tested before it returns to your floor.

Scope 04

Specialised Testing

Material, hardness, pressure and non-destructive testing arranged through qualified laboratories when the application calls for it.

Test scope is agreed per job against the application. Specialised testing — material certification, hardness, pressure and non-destructive testing — is carried out through qualified external laboratories, and their reports are supplied with the component.
